NASA-DARES RFI Workshop Details And Agenda

NASA Update: Attached (below) you’ll find a detailed agenda outlining two full days of discussions aimed at refining the NASA-DARES research and exploration Focus Areas, which were identified by Task Force 1 through the synthesis of more than 120 community-submitted white papers.

These Focus Areas will form the foundation for the next NASA Astrobiology Strategy, and this workshop is your opportunity—as members of the broader community—to shape and strengthen them.

This will be a truly hybrid event, with approximately 75 participants attending in person and more than twice as many joining online. To ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone, we will have dedicated notetakers and online moderators in each session to help facilitate discussion and coordination across formats.

As part of our opening remarks on Day 1, we will provide a brief orientation to help frame the breakout sessions that will occur throughout both days. These sessions are key opportunities for community input to refine each Focus Area into actionable, well-scoped elements for further development by Task Force 2 during the next phase of NASA-DARES.
