Scott Parazynski Everest Update (Podcast): 4 April 2008
Scott Parazynski

Hi. This is Scott calling from Lobuche.

I’m not sure if this line is working but I’ll go ahead and give the automated line a shot here. Yesterday we trekked well above tree lines to the line of rocks, snow and ice. We’re well on our way to Everest base camp.

Tomorrow we’ll be going to Gorek Shep. Upon morning we’ll take a quick look at the whole Everest base camp region all the way up to the summit of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse and other beautiful mountains surrounding Everest base camp.

Following that we’ll trek on up to base camp where we’ll be for the next six to eight weeks.

Just wanted to let you know that we may have to go offline for a little bit here. We’ll get back online as quickly as we can. In the interim, though, the IMG website will be posting updates daily.

We’ll certainly take notes. When we’re able to get back online we’ll give you lots and lots of information what the experience has been like up until that point.

Hope everything’s going well back in Houston. Hope to talk to you soon. Bye.
