Weather is much nicer today, and while we still have some blowing snow, it is not too bad. We dug out the snowmobiles and got them up and running again.

We hope to see our new snowmobiles (BRP Lynx Commanders) arrive on the flight this Sunday. Once we have them assembled and they are up and running we will start the traverse to Lake Untersee.

Cheers, Dale

Keith Cowing: These updates in 1996 and 1997 were done directly by Dale Andersen while in Antarctica to a webserver in my condo in Reston, Virginia. As best we can tell this was one of the earliest – if not the first – website to be maintained from Antarctica.
