Geographic and Ecological Diversity of Green Sulfur Bacteria in Hot Spring Mat Communities

Three strains of thermophilic green sulfur bacteria (GSB) are known; all are from microbial mats in hot springs in Rotorua, New Zealand (NZ) and belong to the species Chlorobaculum tepidum.
