[NASA]. NASA’s Exoplanet Program Analysis Group’s Executive Committee (ExoPAG EC) and NASA’s Exoplanet Exploration Program (ExEP) Office invite early career scientists to join the next hybrid ExoPAG meeting.

As the ultimate users of future NASA facilities, early career scientists are encouraged to attend the ExoPAG meetings to learn about NASA’s strategic goals and projects and learn how to impact them through ExoPAG activities.

The ExoPAG EC and ExEP are inviting up to 50 early career researchers to give 1-2 minute “pop presentations” highlighting their upcoming AAS presentation. There will be up to 25 presentations each day (January 9th and 10th).

This is an opportunity to briefly introduce your research, advertise your poster or talk, and encourage other ExoPAG attendees to come learn more at AAS. You will share your work with a broad audience of scientists, technologists, and program managers.

The application for Early Career Pop Presentations is now open.

Eligibility

The following career levels are eligible to apply:

  • Undergraduate must be enrolled in school at the time of the conference or the semester immediately before the conference (if during break)
  • Post Bachelor
  • Graduate students must be enrolled at a university at the time of the conference or the semester immediately before the conference (if during break)
  • Post Doctoral

Early career scientists must complete the speaker application prior to the posted deadline.

Focus of Proposed ExoPAG 35 Early Career Talks

Any exoplanet-relevant topic is welcome: whether you are investigating how planets form, how they evolve or how to search for and characterize them, the ExoPAG EC invites you to share your work. Presentations are also encouraged to align with the priorities described in the current Exoplanet Exploration Program Science Gap List.
