[NASA SMD]. Discovery awaits at the 2026 NASA Space Apps Challenge: The Next Frontier!
Registration is now open for this year’s hackathon, held on November 14-15, 2026. The Space Apps Challenge is a public gateway to NASA science, mobilizing an engaged community of technologists and space science enthusiasts to answer the questions that will propel humanity to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
Over two days, participants will gather at hundreds of events worldwide to respond to challenges authored by NASA and Space Agency Partner subject matter experts.

- September 17: Challenges revealed. All challenges are authored by NASA and Space Agency Partner subject matter experts!
- October 28: Full challenge statements released, including NASA and Space Agency Partner data sets.
- November 14-15: The NASA Space Apps Challenge is held worldwide!
- November 16: Judging begins.
