This white paper will take broader community input to update the paper developed by the Green Lake workshop participants, “White Paper on Phototrophic Biosignatures: Research Priorities for the Search for Life on Other Worlds”, https://arxiv.org/abs/2607.03106 This was uploaded to arxiv.org on July 3, 2026, as community input for the NASA Decadal Astrobiology Research and Exploration Strategy.
