Deposits in Arsinoes Chaos – Possible Remnants Of An Ancient Lake On Mars
ID: ESP_089278_1730 date: 12 August 2025 altitude: 269 km https://uahirise.org/hipod/ESP_089278_1730 NASA/JPL-Caltech/University of Arizona

The objective of this observation is to examine a light-toned deposit in a region of chaos terrain. The deposit displays a rough surface, in contrast to the smoothness of the surounding area.

Some parts of the surface appear as if they were eroded by a fluid flowing north and south.

This deposit may have formed in an ancient lake.
