Despite the presence of ice-caps, large glaciers, and lakes filled with large icebergs, this region hosts a robust community of wildlife including Perry caribou, wolves, musk ox, Arctic hare, ermine, lemmings, polar bears and numerous species of birds such as snow geese, snowy owl, ruddy turnstones, loons, gyrfalcons, and snow buntings – it will be great to be a guest among friends for a few weeks!
