NASA astronaut and Boeing Crew Flight Test Pilot Suni Williams investigates using fluid physics techniques such as surface tension, as well as hydroponics and air circulation, to overcome the lack of gravity when watering and nourishing plants grown in space.

The Plant Water Management investigation uses facilities in the International Space Station’s Harmony module to promote space agricultural activities on spacecraft and space habitats.
