DESCRIPTION:AbGradE is back to action and will organise its signature event on August 31st\, 2026 the day before the 26th European Astrobiology Network Association (EANA) conference on September 1-4. Both events will take place in person at the Space Exploration Institute in Neuchâtel\, Switzerland. \nThe topic is “Astrobiology Icy Moons Missions“\, where participants will have an opportunity to design a mission/experimental concept relevant to the icy moons of our Solar System. These ideas will then be developed in writing during the second half of the workshop\, which focuses on strengthening academic writing skills. \nWith the exploration of the Solar System’s icy moons entering an exciting new chapter\, there has never been a better time to get involved. Join us to learn about the opportunities ahead\, engage with experts in the field\, and connect with fellow students and early-career researchers. DESCRIPTION:Europlanet and the Scientific Organizing Committee of EPSC2026 invites all planetary scientists to participate in the congress\, submit contributions to the topical sessions\, and share their research with their colleagues. SUMMARY:Interdisciplinary Origin of Life Meeting for Early Career Researchers (IOoL2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Origin of Life Early Career Network (OoLEN) is pleased to announce that this year’s Interdisciplinary Origin of Life Meeting for Early Career Researchers (IOoL2026) will be held in Tokyo\, Japan at the Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) on 9-11 September 2026. \nThe IOoL conference\, OoLEN’s biannual meeting\, is a prime opportunity for early-career researchers to present their work on the origins of life in a relaxed setting\, to exchange ideas across different disciplines relevant to understanding the origin and nature of living systems\, and to stimulate discussions and ideas to help guide the future of research on these topics. The IOoL meeting further provides an opportunity for early career researchers to connect with each other and immerse themselves in the community outside their own labs. \nThe meeting is open to any early-career researcher (master student\, PhD student\, post-doc\, PI < 3 years) working in the context of the origins of life. Membership in OoLEN at the time of registration is not mandatory but we strongly encourage to join the network!

DESCRIPTION:The Astrobiology Graduate Conference (AbGradCon) is an annual\, student-led conference to highlight and promote the scientific research of early career astrobiologists.  Attendees of this conference are graduate students and post-doctoral researchers which creates a more relaxed atmosphere for scientific discussions and networking. SUMMARY:Mars and the Earthlings: Can we\, and should we\, go to Mars?
DESCRIPTION:This training school stemmed from the European Astrobiology Institute’s Project Team “Mars and the Earthlings”\, whose goal is to provide reliable information and foster healthy\, evidence-based discussions on human Mars exploration. This project team gathers space exploration experts including astronauts\, astronomers\, planetary scientists\, geologists\, legal experts\, biologists\, philosophers and economists. The lectures will be given by some of them. The learning contents draw largely from the book « Mars and the Earthlings: A Realistic View on Mars Exploration and Settlement »\, written by Project Team members and published in January 2025 by Springer. Among the topics to be covered are the Martian geology and climate\, robotic missions to Mars\, crewed orbital flight\, permanent settlements on Mars\, and terraforming. On top of technical and scientific challenges\, each topic will be looked at from economic\, legal\, societal\, psychological\, and medical perspectives.

DESCRIPTION:2026 American Society for Gravitational and Space Research Annual Conference From Atoms to Astronauts: Transformative Science for a New Era of Exploration.   The American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR)\, founded in 1984 is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization that represents the areas of biological and physical sciences focuses on the understanding of responses of biological and physical systems to variable gravity conditions. The ASGSR provides a forum to foster research\, education and professional development in the multidisciplinary fields of gravitational life and physical science research. ASGSR brings together a diverse group of scientists and engineers to encourage an exchange of ideas bridging basic and applied biological and physical sciences research and technology in space and on the ground. The organization is devoted to furthering the field of gravitational research. Our members represent academia\, government\, and industry interests bonded by a common issue – how living organisms and physical systems respond to gravity (e.g. low-gravity\, hypergravity\, etc.)
