NASA’s Office of Planetary Protection Has A New Logo
NASA’s Office of Planetary Protection — NASA

Editor’s note: According to a LinkedIn post by James Benardini, Planetary Protection Officer at NASA:

NASA’s Office of Planetary Protection just released it’s new logo today! Excited to share this with you all. This has been a passion for Erin Lalime and I over the past month or so working with the NASA Safety Center in getting a logo that represents our office.

This logo embodies exploration of the solar system, emphasis the entire reason for PP with safety and enabling science, represents a focus on Earth’s biosphere and leans forward to embracing and supplementing the traditional spore assay with metagenomics methods along with capturing both a robotic and crew mission portfolio.

Hope when we cross paths next we will have stickers and patches to share!!”
