Effective February 1, 2023, Ms. Diane Malarik will be the Acting Division Director for BPS. Prior to this new role, Diane has served as the BPS Division Deputy Director. She has been responsible for supporting the development of the strategic direction for the division and overseeing the planning and execution of its two-pronged mission of pioneering scientific discovery and enabling human spaceflight exploration. Diane has 30 years of project and program management experience. She has managed space flight and space technology development projects and programs within various organizations, such as BPS, Space Communications and Navigation, International Space Station, Extravehicular Activities, and Advanced Exploration Systems.

Dr. Devon Griffin will fill in for Diane as acting Deputy Director for the BPS Division. DeVon has been the Physical Sciences Program Manager in BPS since 2019. He was previously employed by NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) for 25 years, and as a GRC contractor for 4 years prior to the that. He brings with him a wealth of experience having been a research scientist, a Co-Investigator, a Project Manager, and a Program Manager in many diverse areas. His work spans such various programs as the former microgravity program, the Space Communications and Navigation Program, and GRC Program Manager for the Human Research Program.
